Yes. In most cases you must complete CBT before riding on the road if you only have a provisional licence.

After completing CBT you will receive a DL196 certificate, which allows you to ride:

• Up to 125cc motorcycle

• With L plates

• No passengers

• No motorway riding

5. Get insurance

6. Must include hire & reward (delivery use)

7. Sign up to apps

8. Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Just Eat

9. Upload licence, insurance, ID

10. Get basic gear

11. Helmet + delivery bag

12. Start working

13. Go online → accept orders → deliver

Easiest path: CBT → rent scooter → sign up → start within ~1–2 weeks

CBT normally takes one full day (around 6–8 hours).

It includes:

1. Introduction & eyesight check

2. Bike controls and safety checks

3. Off-road riding practice

4. On-road riding with an instructor

You will need at minimum of a UK provisional driving licence to undertake any motorcycle training course. International licences are not accepted.

Both documentations are valid for 2 years from date of issue.

The best place to book is on the GOV UK website at https://www.gov.uk/book-theory-test but be sure to choose the motorcycle category it will cost you £23, and you can search for a centre via your postcode anywhere charging more than this adds no benefit.

Any test passes are tied to your active theory pass if you do complete both parts of the test before it expires you have to take that test again.
